Stamford Bridge Gates

Stamford Bridge Gates A new landmark is proposed for Stamford Bridge; an entrance way that re-invents the traditional entrance gate. A sensitive addition within the local context, the design takes strong cues from the new Herzog and de Meuron stadium proposal. The ornate crosier detail of original 1950’s Chelsea badge, is abstracted in 3 dimensions, to deliver an optical sculpture which echoes the spatial form of the arches of the new stadium.
